Parker Staggs was named an assistant coach on July 12, 2024 and enters his first season with the Blue Devils.
Staggs joins the Blue Devil coaching staff after a six-year stint at Arkansas, where he served as a team manager from 2018-2022 before becoming a graduate student manager in 2023.
A native of Jefferson City, Missouri, Staggs was tasked with various duties to assist the Razorback softball program, including setting up and breaking down practice equipment and throwing live for batting practice and scrimmages. Staggs also assisted on game day by running the Dartfish and Flightscope software to gather analytic data to help the coaching staff.
Staggs has also served as a coach for the Gators, a local softball team in Jefferson City, and is currently assisting with the Kansas City Aces Fastpitch Club. His playing experience involves several men’s fastpitch tournaments and includes an invite to the USA Junior Men’s National Team selection trials.
He attended Blair Oaks High School in Wardsville, Missouri and learned how to pitch by watching his sister, Payton, during her high school games and lessons. Staggs began his career in team management while in high school and was part of the staff that led the Falcons to the Missouri State High School Activities Association Class 2 State Finals in 2016 and 2017.
A 2022 graduate of Arkansas, Staggs earned his bachelor’s degree in sport and recreation management before earning his master’s in physical education in 2024.
